Irv Refkin

President

Mr. Refkin served in the US Army during World War II and was awarded two Bronze Stars for his service. Since then, he built three of his own companies in the engineering and ship repair fields. He has over 45 years of experience in business development and management. In addition, he is the founder of the Ship Repair Association in San Diego, CA. His government contracting experience has proven invaluable to his clients, multiplying their success in winning new business, and his business and government contacts across the globe have led to many successful partnerships.
Mr. Refkin has long been active in the San Diego community, serving on the boards of several charitable organizations and spearheading numerous fundraisers, including events for the San Diego Red Cross and the American Cancer Society.

Ms. O'Grady has 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and businesswoman. She honed her skills in marketing, business management, and strategic planning by successfully steering performing arts businesses through the lean last decade. She joined VBT in 2009 and looks forward to serving veterans and their partner companies.
